Illness

If your child becomes ill during the
day, we will call and request that the
parent to come for him/her as soon as possible. It is
essential that a sick child
not remain in school, both for the well-being of the child
and the other children in the school. In the event that a
parent cannot be reached, we will contact the emergency
name that has been provided by the parent.

Medicine
& Special Medical Attention

No medicines are administered without written parental
consent. We however, appreciate that in certain
circumstances e.g. in the case of asthmatic children,
immediate attention in the form of inhalers may well be
required. Your child's medicine should be marked clearly
with their name and written instructions concerning the
dosage etc. and should be brought to the school, signed by
the parent. We ask all parents to complete the school's
Medical Form prior to the child starting school and any
necessary medicine for emergency purposes must be noted on
the form. Tell us of any change of address, telephone
number or place of work so that we may contact you in case
of an emergency.
Isolation Periods & Medical Rules
The isolation periods and rules of the school, which must
be adhered to by all for the general interest. A doctor's
certificate of fitness will be required for absence of
more than 3 days due to illness. A child is not allowed to
re-enter the school after an infectious disease without a
medical certificate. Children returning after such an
absence must report to the Head Teacher before going to
the class.
