Illness
If your child becomes ill during the day, we will call and request that the parent to come for him/her as soon as possible. It is essential that a sick child not remain in school, both for the well-being of the child and the other children in the school. In the event that a parent cannot be reached, we will contact the emergency name that has been provided by the parent.
Medicine & Special Medical Attention
No medicines are administered without written parental consent. We however, appreciate that in certain circumstances e.g. in the case of asthmatic children, immediate attention in the form of inhalers may well be required. Your child's medicine should be marked clearly with their name and written instructions concerning the dosage etc. and should be brought to the school, signed by the parent. We ask all parents to complete the school's Medical Form prior to the child starting school and any necessary medicine for emergency purposes must be noted on the form. Tell us of any change of address, telephone number or place of work so that we may contact you in case of an emergency.

Guards
We do, of course, have our own security guards stationed at the gate of the school premises.
Identity Cards
In addition, as a safety precaution, all children are issued with an I.D. card in the first week of the school term. This has to be shown at the main entrance gate by whomever collects the child.
Fire & Emergency Drill
There is a regular Fire and Emergency Drill so that children are aware of the procedures to follow should there ever be a fire or any other kind of emergency. |
